Academic Computing is a unit of the Office of Information Technologies (OIT) that focuses on supporting faculty and instructors at UMass Amherst who use technology in their teaching and research. My areas of interest and expertise include: communicating ideas visually, promoting technology that is truly helpful (not just cool), and teaching people to use these helpful technologies with just enough detail and plenty of patience.
