Design Development
The technical dimension of the project is involved with developing two devices. One is a filtering system to prevent fish from swimming into the irrigation channels and the second is a mobile device to discourage the small sized young fish from swimming into the channels by scaring them away.

The filtering system is designed to work with several layers of screens; to clean itself requiring minimal maintenance; and be resistant against harsh outdoor conditions such as sun and rusting. It was also designed to be extra sturdy against damages that might potentially be caused by flood waters, vandalism and curiosity of wild boars which tend to rack everything in the wild in search of food such as hiding crabs and fish in the crevices. The "Scare-Fish" device
is a mechanical system that generates irregular noise, resonance and pressure in the entrances of channels by utilizing the energy of the flowing water with a simple mechanism of water wheel.
