Students Mentored

As part of my interest in improving secondary science education, I work to involve high school students in actual research. I believe that the best way to engage any student in science, particularly a high school student, is to allow him or her to experience what it is like to be involved in a real research project. I have recently mentored and supervised the following high school students working on my research projects:

Anna B., Stoneleigh Burnham School, “Song learning and social dominance in black-capped chickadees”, Fall 2005

Colin S., Amherst High School, “Song learning and social dominance in black-capped chickadees”, Fall 2005

Elizabeth B., Stoneleigh Burnham School, “Song learning and social dominance in black-capped chickadees”, Fall 2003-Spring 2005

Emma N-T., Stoneleigh Burnham School, “Geographic variation in black-capped chickadee song”, Spring 2003
