My name is Jose Tolson, and I am inviting you to listen
to "COLORS FOR A FRIDAY MORNING". 'COLORS' is an electric musical journey
presenting a wide range of musical styles. From the Jazz Standards of John
Coltrane to the Traditional Blues of Mississippi John Hurt. "Colors" features
Motown, R & B and Doo-Wop from the urban centers, as well as the soulful vocals
of Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. The Reggae of Bob Marley and the Souka of the
Mighty Sparrow. The music of the Latin New Song Movement and African rhythms
from Cape Verde to South Africa. Aretha, Chapman, Hendrix, Furtado, and Wonder are just
a few of the others that can be heard on "Colors for a Friday Morning."
